This is the updated version with the pattern in the background. I think the speech bubble and introduction by each robot really helps to link the robots to each section.

 

OK guys this is one of the four quiz/fact pages. Each section in similar in appearance, the main difference being that each section is colour coordinated with the bot that represents each section. The bots must be changed for each section. I will show the other three examples to you in class tomorrow. Dave

Ok, so the new generation look more 3D than the last guys, but we are losing the connection with the rest of the style on other items. So if we could develop bots with features from both and more like the style of Beth's illustration background.

This is pretty much it

Strategy

-We want to encourage children to live a healthy lifestyle. 

We want the child to build up and create a style that fits them personally. 

We hope to create this by the child learning through quizzes and fun fact files, making the journal easy to use and interact with. 

Progress

-The child's progress wil be monitored through their personal chart within the journal (max of 10points) and the class' progress through a wall charts. 

The points will work like so: eat 5 a day = 1points. this will stop the child from over doing it and creating a healthy balance. 

Visual style

- we have a doodle style making it seem more like a real journal.

We have characters of robots. We will use these as a narrative though the whole story.

Each robot will represent a categorie (health / activities / lifestyle / nutrition ). In the guide, the characters will take the kids through the guide.

after talking today we have to all individually do sketches on how we want the pack to look and work. with different elements within the back. it needs to be physically engaging and a contempery piece of design

I was thinking after looking at that long image ray posted, that we could addapt the visual style we were looking so its kind of like Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide tv show, its for older kids and keeps the idea of it being a personal thing. Its like the grown up version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid?
